​Learn to work with families who have experienced loss through miscarriage, still birth, or death of a child at any time. A bereavement doula help a family helps to provide support to a family learning that their baby has already transitioned while still in utero due to miscarriage or still birth. They can also assist a family learning that their child has been diagnosed with a terminal condition while still in utero and is expected to have a short life term.  
This is a 12 week course that will include homework assignments and test. 

Who should become a bereavement doula?:
  • Seasoned birth professionals
  • Mother's who have experienced loss and healing and would like to provide support to other families
  • Spiritual and life coaches interested in providing this additional support 

Once you have completed the course you will be able to provide support to families that are in the process of coming to terms with the transition or transitioning of their child.

The training will teach you how to:

  • Begin the conversation of transitioning
  • Locate and connect to resources that meet the family's spiritual and emotional needs
  • Assist in creating a sacred space for mourning
  • Assist in creating ancestral home-going celebrations
  • Effective communication during the process
  • Understanding the healing process 
  • Creating or locating support groups

Tuition $650 / Payment plan: $250 deposit w/ four month $100.00 pmt plan
